Daft Punk in Bangkok: Daft Funk Live, Saturday 16 January 2027
A full live band playing the music of Daft Punk, on a VOID Acoustics sound system in Silom. Here’s what the show is, the Thailand tour, and how the night works.

Daft Punk called it a day in 2021, and nobody gets to hear those songs played by the duo again. The next best thing is a band that plays them live, loud, with real instruments.
That’s Daft Funk Live, and on Saturday 16 January 2027 they’re playing Mustache Bangkok, as the final stop of a short Thailand tour.
What is Daft Funk Live?
Daft Funk Live is a Daft Punk tribute show played live by a full band. No backing-track karaoke, no one DJ pressing play. Musicians on stage rebuilding the songs that made French house famous around the world.
To be completely clear: this is a tribute. The real Daft Punk are not playing, and the duo no longer performs.
A quick Daft Punk refresher
Daft Punk were Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, two Parisians who helped put French house on the map in the 1990s. Their debut album Homework came out in 1997 and was full of raw, filtered club tracks.
Discovery followed in 2001, a brighter, poppier record that still gets played at every party that wants the room to sing. In 2013 Random Access Memories went big on live instruments and studio musicians, and won them a stack of Grammys.
In February 2021 they announced the end with a short film called Epilogue. Since then, the only way to hear the music live is through acts like this one.
Why a live band?
A lot of Daft Punk’s music was built on funk and disco: basslines, guitar riffs, drums with swing. Random Access Memories made that obvious by using real players in the studio.
A live band brings that back to the stage. You get the groove of a drummer and a bass player, plus the vocoder sound everyone expects, through a club sound system made for dance music. It sits somewhere between a concert and a club night.
What you’ll hear
The classics. The songs you know from the albums, the ones that come on and make a whole room put their hands up. The band hasn’t published a setlist, and we won’t guess one here, so come ready to be surprised.
Who is this night for?
- Daft Punk fans who never got to see them, or saw them once and never got over it.
- House heads who know where a lot of today’s house and nu disco came from.
- Groups and birthdays. A live show is an easy night to sell to friends who don’t usually go clubbing, and table packages make it simple.
- Visitors in Bangkok that weekend looking for something more than a regular Saturday out.
You don’t need to know every album. If you’ve ever danced at a wedding or a house party in the last 20 years, you already know more of these songs than you think.
Tips for the night
- Buy online before the day. It’s one show on one night, and the room has a limit.
- Arrive early. Doors are at 21:00, and the best spots near the stage go first.
- Come as a group? Look at the table packages on the ticket page.
- Getting home: Grab and taxis are easy to find on Silom. The BTS stops running around midnight, so plan a car back.
